Supreme Court (SC) has issued a short-term interim order not to implement the NEB new curriculum for grade 11 and 12 immediately. A single bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Purushottam Bhandari, summoned both the parties for discussion on November 10 and issued a short-term interim order not to implement the course immediately. The court has asked to keep the status quo of the National Curriculum for School Education, 2076 without implementing it until the final order is finalized from the discussion. Bhagwata Aryal and others had filed writ petitions against the curriculum development center, Pokhara University, Midwest, Far West, Eastern Region, Kathmandu and Agriculture and Forest Science University. In the preliminary hearing of the writ petition, the apex court has also asked the opposition to submit a written reply within 15 days on the reasons for implementing the new curriculum.
